The lesson here is "Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything." In the story, Edward tries to persuade her to not give birth to the baby, and to abort it. But, Bella believed in herself that she could do it, and she did! Also Bella believed that after she became a vampire that she would have a power,Like Edward, Alice or Jasper. It turned out she dose have a power! The power to protect her loved ones!
